Rest in Peace Bob, I will miss you, Saturdays in the Fall will never be the same.
On Tuesday morning, December 18, 2007, Robert (Bob) Delano Martin left this earth to be with our Lord and Savior after unexpected medical complications. Better known to his friends and loved ones as Bobanero or “UT Bob,” he lived his life with utmost compassion for those around him. He was born on April 14, 1944 and raised in the Panama Canal Zone . He served our nation proudly in the U.S. Army at the Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu , Hawaii . He was proud to be a professional in the dental industry for more than 40 years.
Bob was a gentleman, a loving husband and father, an avid Longhorn fan, and a friend to anyone who needed an ear.
He leaves behind his loving wife Susan, his daughter Anne, his son Robert, Jr., and his daughter Allison; his mother Ana; brothers Lou Jr., Mario, Franklin, and John; his sisters-in-law; his three grandchildren Robert Jr., Olivia, and Aidan; numerous nieces and nephews; and his and Susan’s panting and loyal “son” Champ “Spoiled Rotten” Martin. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Louis.
As a husband, every action spoke of his love and adoration of his wife Susan whom he married on March, 20, 2004. He was also a loving son, brother, father, and grandfather. As a friend he was a big brother to all he loved and always considered everyone else before himself. Bob truly cherished his friends and welcomed them as family, many of whom shared his love for the Texas Longhorns.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cook-Walden Funeral Home – 6100 North Lamar Boulevard , Austin , Texas .
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, and internment will follow immediately at the Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Memorial Park on West William Cannon Drive , Austin , Texas .
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable contributions be made in Bob’s name to the American Diabetes Association or The University of Texas at Austin general scholarship fund.

We already miss you so dearly Bob - Husband... Son... Brother... Father... Grandfather. ..“Uncle”... Friend.... We are listening, we hear your comforting voice, and we feel your amazing presence.
